The 2024 Bruce County Spark Program is awarding support to help boost local tourism.
At the end of November, local entrepreneurs took part in the sixth annual Spark Program, where five finalists pitched their innovate and sustainable tourism ideas.
Three winners were selected to receive mentorship and a $3,000 grant to bring their concepts to the next level.
The recipients for this year include Rebecca Walsh for her September Artisan Market concept in Sauble Beach, Evan Walker Ertl of Saugeen Glass Works in Saugeen First Nation, and Lisa Holland for her Kayakomat concept in Kincardine.
The county says the purpose of the program is to find and support new sustainable tourism ideas in Bruce County.
Warden Luke Charbonneau says, “The Bruce County Spark Program taps into a wealth of creativity from local entrepreneurs, individuals, small businesses and non-profits.”
