Prominent Owen Sound business personality and community leader, Fay Harshman has passed away.
Harshman who was well known for her more than 40 years with the Tim Hortons franchise in our region, was the first female franchise owner of a Tim Hortons location.
In the Spring of 2000, Fay Harshman was one of 6 local business people who stepped up to buy the Owen Sound Platers of the Ontario Hockey League, and became the first female owner of an OHL club
Dr Bob Severs knew Fay Harshman well from her involvement in various hospital campaigns and as one of his partners in the ownership of the Owen Sound Attack.
A dedicated community personality, Fay Harshman supported many local fundraising campaigns, often with little or no fanfare.
