There will be a significant police presence at Collingwood Collegiate Institute this evening (Friday, December 6) – but there is nothing to be worried about – the school will be the site of a police training exercise.
The training will take place after school hours roughly between 5-8pm, with no disruption to students, or staff. Its focus will be emergency situations in and around schools.
The Simcoe County District School Board says a strong partnership with the police services in Simcoe is essential to keeping the school community safe.
