The Town of Huntsville Public Works team continues to actively clear roadways and sidewalks and is prepared for continued incoming snow accumulation and snow squalls today – December 4, 2024.
Current weather forecasts indicate that some areas of Huntsville could see up to 60cm of snow by end of day today. As a reminder to residents, Huntsville plowing crews’ focus is clearing snow on primary roads in urban high traffic areas, followed by secondary routes in rural areas. Please be advised that crews are out and remember to please keep sidewalks and roads clear of parked cars to give our plows and equipment room to operate.
Town of Huntsville Customer Service is available to you if you have road-related concerns. Residents can call the Town of Huntsville at 705-789-1751 and press 2 or report a non-emergency concern online by visiting Huntsville.ca.

Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) Water Safety Bulletin
In addition to the winter storm, the MNR has issued a Water Safety Bulletin. The MNR is advising residents in the Muskoka River Watershed that there is a Water Safety Bulletin in effect for the District until December 10. The winter storms have elevated water levels in the region. No flooding is anticipated, however as the additional water moves through the watershed, some rivers may see increased flows and higher water levels. Residents should exercise caution while around waterbodies and maintain close supervision of children and pets.
