Owen Sound Attack goaltender Carter George is heading to Canada’s selection camp for the 2025 World Junior Hockey Championship.
George, 18, was one of four goaltenders named to the roster for selection camp, which is set be held next week Dec. 10-13 at TD Place in Ottawa.
The Thunder Bay native has been called into service regularly for Hockey Canada in his first two seasons in junior hockey. This past spring, he was named the top goaltender at the 2024 IIHF U18 World Championshups in Finland, where he helped Canada win gold.
And at the U17 Hlinka-Gretzky tournament in 2023, George was the young man in net for Canada in their run to gold in Czechia.
In 21 games for the Attack this season, the Los Angeles Kings prospect has a 3.54 goals against average and a .901 save percentage.
