Georgian Bluffs is bringing back its annual Winter Sparkle and Skate event at the end of the month.
The event is set for Nov. 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Shallow Lake Community Centre as it aims to ring in the holiday season.
Starting at 6 p.m., there will be a vendors fair, touch-a-truck display, family games, and Shallow Lake Jr. Hockey Concession, then a tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Following the ceremony, residents can take photos with Santa starting at 6:45 p.m. before rounding out the rest of the evening with free family skating.
Students from the Keppel-Sarawak Choir will help set the Christmas mood by performing seasonal songs.
The Inter Township Fire Department will also be on hand collecting donations for its annual toy drive.
The township has other holiday events planned for December including the tree lighting at Cobble Beach on Dec. 7, which will feature horse and buddy rides, pictures with Santa, and a Christmas artisan market.
People can then head to Keppel on Dec. 8 for the non-motorized parade at 2 p.m. and Jingle and Mingle event on Dec. 9 at Allan’s Mercantile.
Rounding out the holiday fun, people can get tickets for the Grey Roots Museum Moreston by Candlelight on Dec. 7 and 14.
