There are a number of holiday events and some food and toy drives this weekend around Grey Bruce.
On Friday night, there is a Paisley late night social which will see local businesses stay open until 9 p.m. to allow for some post-work shopping.
First thing Saturday morning in Sauble Beach, there is a breakfast with Santa and Christmas market planned at the Sauble Community School. It’s set to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be a fire truck there and firefighters will be collecting for their holiday toy drive. There will be pictures with Santa (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), a gift basket raffle, silent auction and kids corner.
There’s a Lion’s Head Farmers Market Christmas Market this weekend.
On Saturday, November 23rd, there is a holiday food and toy drive in Saugeen Shores at the Port Elgin Walmart, Mowbray’s Canadian Tire in Port Elgin, Vanderwerf’s Your Independent Grocer in Port Elgin and the Southampton Foodland from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Owen Sound Police Auxiliary will be taking food drive donations at Metro from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 23rd.
The Paisley Concert Choir (https://paisleychoir.com/) has a few concerts in the region this season. On Friday, they are scheduled to perform at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Hanover at 7:30 p.m., then Saturday November 23rd, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, in Owen Sound at 2p.m. and Sunday, November 24th at Knox United Church Paisley, at 7:30 p.m.
