Santa Claus came to town over the weekend as a large crowd gathered for the annual Owen Sound Kiwanis Santa Claus Parade.
A large crowd gathered along 2nd Avenue East Saturday evening to usher in the start of the holiday season.
Families were treated to a variety of floats from local businesses, services, sports teams, and various dignitaries as they wished people happy holidays.
After the parade, the Festival of Northern Lights held an opening ceremony at the Farmers’ Market where they hosted a dance party and offered hot chocolate, cookies and photos with Santa.
People can catch the displays in both the downtown area and Harrison Park nightly until Jan. 5.
