Georgian Bluffs Council has given direction to the township’s 2025 budget.
Highlights for next year include a focus on roads, with $1.5 million earmarked for the hard top surface preservation program, with plans to increase that amount to $2 million over the next five years.
Another $5.5 million is going to be invested over the next three years for the municipality’s bridges and culverts.
The township will also be putting $1.65 million toward parks and recreation, and to help cover costs will be applying for grant funding.
These funding commitments are in addition to Georgian Bluffs investing $100,000 per year for sidewalk and walkway replacement, supporting climate and environmental initiatives.
The 2025 budget currently has a projected tax rate increase of 5.58% for residential property owners.
