HockeyFest is returning to Owen Sound this week.
The second annual event is running between Nov. 14 and the 16 and will kick off today with the east versus west high school boys’ and girls’ hockey teams from Owen Sound District Secondary School and St. Mary’s School facing off at the Bayshore.
Tomorrow will feature players from the University of Waterloo Warriors visiting Notre Dame Catholic School, Alexandra Community School and East Ridge Community School for a game of floor hockey and question period.
Owen Sound Girls Hockey is also celebrating its 30th anniversary with a fundraiser tomorrow night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, which will feature music from Woodford U. Ticket details can be found by emailing fundraising@owensoundgirlshockey.com.
There are also several on-ice clinics being held at the Bayshore, which are being moderated by Fred Wallace.
The event is wrapping up on Saturday as the Waterloo Warriors face off against the Laurier Golden Hawks at 2 p.m.
Following the game, the downtown area with come alive with the annual Kiwanis Santa Clause parade and Festival of Northern Lights.
