The Alexandra Marine & General Hospital is celebrating a century of operation in Goderich.
The AMGH was incorporated in 1924, and named after the wife of King Edward VII, Alexandra Caroline Mary Charlotte Louse Julie Oldenburg.
Since its inception, the AMGH has introduced an obstetrics unit, dialysis, palliative care, and a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit.
Most recently, the AMGH has partnered with the South Huron Hospital to form the Huron Health System, where the hospitals work together on various initiatives such as cutting-edge healthcare technologies, conducting joint research and launching pilot programs in rural areas.
