The Muskoka Bears were on the road to start this weekend’s schedule on Friday in Midland, then Saturday, and wrapped it up when they hosted the Penetang Kings on Saturday at Muskoka Lumber Arena.
It was a hard hitting, and fast paced game that saw a crowd of 421 watch the Bears lose their first game of the year (after beating them twice), to Penetang 10-1.
Goal – Owen VanDusen (1st of year)
Friday as mentioned, they travelled to take on the Midland Flyers for a night game.
Outshooting the Flyers 52-24, they ran into a hot goalie from Midland, and only Cam Curruthers solved him with his 3rd period goal to tie it, but a bad giveaway midway through the tied period enabled Midland to take the lead and pot an empty netter later on.
The Bears will be looking for revenge next Sunday Nov 10th, at 2pm when they host same Flyers on Veterans Day. Midland 3, Muskoka 1
Goal – Cam Curruthers (1st of year)
Upcoming game – Veterans Day Game Sunday at 2pm vs Midland Flyers were the Bears and fans will be honoring our Veterans ahead of Remembrance Day on Sunday Nov 10t.
