Southern Georgian Bay OPP are investigating a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of one person.
Police and Simcoe County Paramedics were called to the crash at around 4:30 Saturday afternoon to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on William Street in Midland.
The lone 37-year-old rider was triaged at the scene, then taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead by the attending physicians.
Personnel from the Technical Traffic Investigation unit are helping detachment officers look into the cause of the crash.
Williams Street had to be closed in the area of Gloucester Street and Bayview Drive while crews were on scene.
Anyone who may have dashcam or surveillance video, or witnessed the involved motorcycle leading up to the time of the crash is asked to contact the OPP at 1-800-310-1122.
