The Township of Chatsworth is holding a public meeting tonight (Oct. 30) to provide more details on an updated comprehensive zoning by-law.
The meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Williamsford Community Centre will give attendees the chance to learn more about the by-law, as well as give their thoughts and ask questions to council and township staff.
A zoning by-law dictates how land can be used within the township and can cover anything from lot size, setbacks, coverage, and building height.
This new by-law is proposing to include sections regarding short term accommodations, allowing for additional dwellings within certain zones, remove the minimum floor area required for residential dwellings, and environmental protection mapping.
The new by-law is currently in the works by staff and council and is set to replace the current by-law which has been in effect since 2015.
Those who wish to submit questions, comments, or request making a delegation can email Deputy Clerk Tyler Zamostny at tyler.zamostny@chatsworth.ca or call 519-794-3232.
