The County of Huron has agreed to allocate $10,000 per year as a part of the Salvation Army Suncoast Citadel agreement.
The money is being given through the Homelessness Prevention Program.
As a part of the program, the county has provided funding to community partners that work to prevent, address, and reduce homelessness.
The purpose of the program, which is centred in Goderich and Clinton, is to improve access to adequate, suitable, and affordable housing.
In return for the funding, the Salvation Army will work to provide housing resources, and provide statistical data back to the county.
The funding will be dispersed in four payments of $2,500, which would be provided in April, July, October, and January.
