An Owen Sound woman is celebrating a 50 thousand dollar lottery prize win.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says Teresa Coultis won the top prize with Instant Crossword.
Coultis, who is a great grandmother, has been playing the lottery with OLG for about a decade and plays bingo and crossword tickets
Coultis says in a statement, “I was sitting at my kitchen table playing my ticket, when I noticed I had revealed a lot of words. It was more than I had ever seen before. I figured I had won a little money,”
She added, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “When my partner got home, I used his phone to scan my ticket on the OLG app. I kept thinking, ‘This can’t be right.’ I kept checking it over and over again.”
She says she plans to appreciate the win for all it’s worth, and do all the work around the house that she’s been wanting to.
The winning ticket was purchased at Winber Mart on 2nd Avenue East in Owen Sound.
OLG says Instant Crossword is available for $3 a play and the top prize is $50,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.80.
