A special celebration is planned for the newest addition to Huron County’s longest trail.
The Guelph To Goderich (G2G) Rail Trail Association will be hosting the grand opening of the Blyth Tunnel on September 6th from 4-6 p.m, along Blyth Road, near the North Huron town.
Throughout June, construction crews were creating an underpass underneath Blyth Road, near the North Huron town.
The underpass finished construction earlier this summer, and has been in use for weeks.
The September 6th grand opening will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by speeches for local dignitaries, live music, and a guided tour through the new tunnel.
