Two people made it back to shore safely after their Sea-Doo capsized off Station Beach in Kincardine yesterday evening.
South Bruce OPP, Kincardine firefighters and Bruce County paramedics responded to a report of a capsized personal watercraft on Lake Huron about 400 metres from shore around 8:40 p.m. Monday.
According to the OPP, two individuals were reported yelling for help in the water off the Kincardine coast.
“Police attended and located the two vessel occupants who were both wearing lifejackets,” South Bruce OPP say in a release. “The individuals made it to shore and were observed by EMS with no injuries.”
The vessel was also secured and brought to shore.
“The South Bruce OPP wants to remind everyone that the only life jacket that can save your life is the one you are wearing,” police say in a statement.
