Owen Sound is looking to hear from the community on its vision for 2050.
The city says in response to the municipal landscape changing dramatically over the last few years in terms of challenges and opportunities, the Future Owen Sound – Vision 2050 project was launched.
“Vision 2050 will create the roadmap for where the city wants to be, and every four years, a Term of Council set of priorities will be developed that are focused on delivering that vision,” says the city.
The new vision will build upon the work which contributed to the previous Strategic Plan Refresh.
As part of the first initiative of Vision 2050, the survey will be open until July 12.
The survey can be completed online here or you can request a physical copy at City Hall, North Grey Union Public Library, Bayshore Community Centre, or Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre.
Mayor Ian Boddy says, “this survey will provide important groundwork as we work to create a future vision and roadmap for Owen Sound. Everyone’s lived experience is important. We want to hear from all community stakeholders, including the business community, home businesses, students and seniors, service provides and social service hubs.”
