Meaford council reviewed an appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal for the proposed Miller Street subdivision.
Council approved receiving the report for information during a meeting on June 10.
This follows a zoning by-law amendment council approved in April which is now being appealed to the tribunal by a third party.
The tribunal handles appeals of municipal decisions, including land use planning, heritage protection, demolition permits, development charges, and other related matters.
The subdivision is still undergoing planning approvals and needs to make it through a number of steps before it is completed.
A report from Manager of Planning Services Denise McCarl says for third party appeals, the municipality does not take a lead role in the appeal process as staff will handle all requests for information from the tribunal.
The proposed subdivision at 412 Miller Street would include a mix of single detached, semi-detached and townhouse units. It would also include a public park, stormwater management facility, a public road, road widening, and daylight triangles.
A report will come back to council in the coming weeks on the draft plan for the subdivision before Grey County makes a decision on the application.
