Georgian Bluffs is looking to hear from the community on a possible off-leash dog park.
The township says following a proposal to council from the Shallow Lake Village Improvement Committee, the municipality is looking into building a dog park to provide a safe environment for canines to play and socialize.
“It would also offer a space for dog owners to meet, fostering a stronger sense of community. This new addition could enhance our recreational facilities and contribute to the well-being of our residents and their pets,” says the township.
In addition to a survey taking place this month, there will also be an event on June 18 for people to attend and share their thoughts on not just the potential dog park, but other community projects.
The survey can be found on the township’s engagement website here, with hardcopies available at the township office and community centres.
