Grey Bruce OPP is looking for Auxiliary Members to join their team.
The detachment says if you wish to join, spots are now open to join the Grey Bruce OPP Auxiliary Unit.
A release from the service says the unit is a group of dedicated volunteers who work with regular OPP officers to ensure safety and well-being for Ontario.
The unit is made up of people from diverse backgrounds and civilian or military occupations.
Duties may include patrols with regular members and assisting with community events.
Some of those events can be seat belt clinics, RIDE initiatives, safety displays, presentations, victim assistance, and ceremonial duties.
Members may also perform many duties outdoors, often in unfavourable weather conditions.
