The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged the driver and passenger of a motor vehicle with multiple drug charges.
On May 19, 2024, shortly before 1:00 a.m. members of the West Parry Sound OPP conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Bowes Street in the Town of Parry Sound after receiving a complaint about the same vehicle earlier in McKellar Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 46 year old from Seguin Ontario was arrested and charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – 2 counts
· Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
A 31 year old from Seguin Ontario was also arrested and charged with:
· Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – 2 counts
· Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Both accused were released and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 4th, 2024.
