A string of power outages across the region is leaving thousands of residents in the dark this morning.
Hydro One shows outages spread out across the Bruce peninsula to several municipalities in Bruce County as well as Owen Sound as a result of high winds.
The Hydro One outage map shows 1,734 outages in Port Elgin, 974 in Kincardine, 348 around Lion’s Head, 318 outages in Owen Sound, and many more.
“Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to customers as damaging high winds move through parts of the province. High winds are expected to continue over the next 24 hours,” says Hydro One.
There is currently no estimated time for when people will have power again.
