Owen Sound police have arrested a man on drug charges and seized a significant amount of fentanyl.
They say in a release, earlier this month, they began a drug trafficking investigation in relation to an Owen Sound resident.
On Thursday February 22nd, just after 4 p.m., the Owen Sound Police drug unit with assistance from the Criminal
Investigations Branch, arrested a 27-year-old man in a park located on the east side of the city within two blocks of a school.
Police say the man was found in possession of several drugs including fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.
They say the fentanyl had a weight of over 94 grams and based on how it is sold, they say it would have represented over 940 individual sales, with an approximate street value of $23,675.
