South Bruce Peninsula council has approved a lease agreement for its ‘coal shed’ property in Wiarton’s Bluewater Park at its meeting Tuesday. (Feb 6)
In early December, the Town put out a request for proposals for use of the building that overlooks the park and water. Since then, two bids were received and after interview with the Town, staff say, one of the bidders withdrew.
The Town also renovated the 1,440 square foot space with a new floor, new LED lighting, new air conditioning and ductless heat.
A staff report says the operators of Dockside Willie’s, which occupied the space previously are looking to run their business there again.
It will be a five-year lease.
The operators hope to have the business up and running in mid-March or early April.
