A festival celebrating Huron County’s Nobel laureate will include a competition for local high school students.
The Alice Munro Festival of the Short Story returns June 5th to 9th, with events featuring twelve Canadian writers.
This year’s short story competition will provide a $1,500 prize for the winner, and $250 each to the two runners up.
New to the 2024 festival is a contest for Huron County high school students, asking them to design a book cover with the theme “Lives of Girls and Women” using digital design tools.
The deadline for submissions to both the short story and digital art competitions is March 15th.
