The Curry House in downtown Owen Sound is reopening this weekend.
On Sunday the restaurant will open its doors for the first time after its previous owner Sharif Rahman passed away in August after he was assault by three men in front of his restaurant, he was 44-years-old.
Rahman’s family received significant support from the community with a GoFundMe page set up, which received $250,000 in donations. The organizer of the page has since disabled new donations.
The City of Owen Sound says through a post on social media, the restaurant will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. for takeout only at this time.
The business is located at 994 2nd Avenue East.
Bayshore Broadcasting has reached out to the business but did not hear back in time for publication.
