Four people face drug-related charges after OPP officers searched a few homes in Georgian Bluffs yesterday.
The OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team and officers from the Grey Bruce and Huron-Perth detachments were involved in executing search warrants at three residences on Highway 6 in Georgian Bluffs Thursday.
Police say they seized a “significant quantity of suspected methamphetamine” as well as other narcotics, scales and cell phones.
OPP say they charged two men from Georgian Bluffs and South Bruce Peninsula — ages 38 and 21 — as well as a 24-year-old Owen Sound woman with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
A 38-year-old South Bruce Peninsula man was also charged with simple drug possession.
“These arrests will have a great impact on the community. The Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit is committed to addressing the opioid crisis head-on and keeping our communities safe,” says OPP Detective Sergeant Jamie Blair in a release.
