Saugeen Golf Club is going to ask Saugeen Shores council for financial support for a tournament set to take place in a year’s time.
The Canadian 2024 Senior Amateur Men’s Golf Championship will take place September 11-15, 2024.
The club is making a presentation to the council this evening, sharing all of the positive aspects of the event.
They say that the municipality should be willing to support the event, as it will bring visitors to the region, who will in turn stay, explore, shop, and eat at local businesses.
Saugeen Golf Club is expecting more than 150 players at the tournament, along with some of the players’ family members, and employees and volunteers from Golf Canada.
