The Owen Sound Attack have seven skaters heading to National Hockey League rookie camps.
The team’s four drafted players Colby Barlow (Winnipeg Jets), Cedrick Guindon (Montreal Canadiens), Kaleb Lawrence (Los Angeles Kings) and Servac Petrovsky (Minnesota Wild) will be vying for a spot at main camps with their NHL clubs. Sam Sedley, James Petrovski and Jackson Stewart also received invites to attend rookie camps with the Philadelphia Flyers, New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators respectively.
Most NHL rookie camps are starting next week.
Barlow, Owen Sound’s captain, was a first-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets, 18th overall, at the 2023 NHL entry draft.
Guindon, Lawrence and Petrovsky were selected in the 2022 NHL draft, and will be attending NHL rookie camps for the second time this year.
“Petrovski and Sedley will have some familiarity when they hit the ice with the Rangers and Flyers respectively, with both players having been invites to their teams summer development camps,” a statement from the Attack explains. “This will be Stewart’s first trip to an NHL camp.”
