Owen Sound Police are sharing video footage images of the potential suspects in a serious assault on an downtown business owner.
On Thursday, August 17th, shortly after 9:15 p.m., 44 year old Sharif Rahman, was assaulted by three males who had gone to his restaurant, the Curry House and became involved in a dispute connected to the business.
Police say the assault happened on the sidewalk outside the restaurant. City police say Rahman sustained serious injuries and remains in critical condition in a London hospital.
According to police, the suspects fled the area. They believe two of them ran southbound on 2nd Avenue East toward the intersection at 9th Street and continued eastbound on 9th Street East.
The first male is described as being Caucasian, 5’10”- 6’2″ tall, medium build, with short dark hair, wearing a light blue t-shirt, black shorts and black running shoes.
The second male is described as being Caucasian, 5’10”- 6’2″ tall, medium build, with short brown hair which is longer on top, wearing an orange t-shirt, black shorts and black running shoes. Both are believed to be in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties in age.
Police say they are aware of a third male who is described as being Caucasian with curly hair, wearing shorts and a t-shirt and being in his late forties to mid-fifties in age.
The vehicle involved is similar to a grey or blue 2000’s model Ford Escape or Mazda Tribute.

A GoFundMe page for Rahman’s family has collected over $124,000 in donations from the community.
A vigil held Wednesday night saw about 800 people quietly walk the streets of downtown Owen Sound in solidarity with Rahman and his family.
