Collingwood will officially designate one of its churches as a Heritage Site of Historical and Cultural Significance.
There will be a ceremony Sunday afternoon at the Heritage Community Church on Seventh Street at 2 p.m.
There has been a church there for 153 years, and the site holds rich ties to the history of the Black community.
The original church burned down, but a second one was built in the same spot in the 1920s.
The current church was rebuilt in 1974.
