Owen Sound is celebrating Canada Day as a part of the Waterfront Festival this year.
The event is happening on Friday, June 30th, and Saturday, July 1st as a way to celebrate Canada while also focusing on actions of truth and reconciliation.
June 30th is Youth Day at the Owen Sound Visitor Centre from 10-6.
It will include circus performers, Four Paws Flying dog shows, pony rides, crafts, and games.
On Saturday, July 1st, there will be activities at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park starting at noon, including live music, artisans and craft vendors, a Black history display, and family activities.
Starting at 4 o’clock, there will be musical performances, and then fireworks over the Owen Sound Harbour at 10 pm.
