Mental health services will be coming closer to homes in Huron County.
Ontario Agriculture Minister and Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson announced a mobile mental health and addiction services clinic would begin servicing the region.
In a news release from Thompson, the “mobile clinic will make it easier to access high-quality mental health and addictions services by bringing the care closer to home.”
The mobile mental health clinic — an unmarked van with tinted windows, meant to avoid stigmatization for those using it — will hit Huron County this August.
Bring more mental health supports to rural Ontario.
It was great to join Minister @MichaelTibollo and Minister @LisaThompsonPC to announce $3 million in funding for a mobile mental health bus. pic.twitter.com/IpaeLjs2iE
