Saugeen Shores Police are warning everyone to not be swindled by Bitcoin scammers.
The warning comes after two senior residents were taken for $15,000 combined in two separate schemes.
According to their Instagram page, the police are saying that if someone phones you and tells you that you must withdraw money and then deposit it into a Bitcoin machine, then you need to hang up and ignore them.
They warn that no government agency or legitimate business will demand that you do such a thing.
They also say if you think someone is trying to scam you call the police immediately.
