Saugeen District Senior School is the winner of the Nuclear Innovation Institute’s Explore Science Olympics.
The first-ever Science Olympics brought together 11 teams of students from across Grey and Bruce Counties for the competition.
It was held on Friday, May 26 at the Owen Sound Campus of Georgian College.
The event had challenges that spanned different disciplines in science, math, and engineering.
The winning team of Saugeen District Senior School Grade 12 students was made up of: Peter Alpajaro, Evan Barry, Clara Howe, and Jacqueline Fenton.
The team claimed the event’s championship belt, as well as free entry into next year’s Science Olympics being hosted by the University of Windsor.
