from the Kincardine Bulldogs
The Kincardine Bulldogs have made a change behind the bench for the 2023-2024 season. First and foremost the executive and team would like to thank Todd Norman and Russell Sutton for their commitment to the team and organization the past 3 plus seasons.
Jeff Alcombrack is returning to the organization as our new head coach. Jeff played his minor hockey in Kincardine, he was a Bulldog at the age of 15. Jeff was drafted by the Sarnia Sting, and played Jr. B for the Owen Sound Greys. Jeff played 9 years professionally, one year in Sweden, and 8 years in the USA. Most recently Jeff coached the Ripley Wolves in 2022-2023, he also coached the KDSS Knights high school team, and the Bulldogs for 5 seasons approximately 10 years ago. Jeff also operates an on/off ice training program for the past 15 years for local athletes. Welcome back Jeff we are excited to have you as our head coach moving forward.
Alcombrack has selected his assistant coaches who will help him behind the bench. Shawn Krueger from Owen Sound has made the commitment to Alcombrack and the Bulldogs. Shawn played his minor hockey in Owen Sound. Following minor hockey he spent 2 seasons with the Owen Sound Greys, and 3 seasons with the Owen Sound Platers (now known as the Owen Sound Attack). Shawn attended the inaugural Florida Panthers NHL training camp, with a stint in the IHL Cincinnati Cyclones. Shawn has 25 years coaching experience, most recently with the Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA program. Shawn continues to work with the organization as a skills program specialist. Shawn was an assistant coach with the Owen Sound Greys for 5 seasons. The Bulldogs executive is extremely excited to have Shawn join the program. Blair Pollock will remain behind the bench as the other assistant coach. Blair played his minor hockey in Ripley, and then graduated to the Ripley Wolves for the next 10 seasons. Blair has coached minor hockey locally from 2009-2019 (Ripley and Kincardine). He was a part of the Sacred Heart high school coaching staff that won OFSAA in Kincardine. Blair has been an assistant coach for the Bulldogs since 2019.
