Bruce County is going to be holding an information session this month before it begins a road and bridge rehabilitation project.
A release from the county says it will be proceeding with phase one of the Bruce Road 6 East A reconstruction project from Mildmay to just east of Deemerton, as well as the rehabilitation of the Carrick Creek Bridge.
The project will also see the reconstruction of Sideroad 20 North, south of Bruce Road 6, which is being performed by the Municipality of South Bruce.
The first phase is set for construction between May and November, and includes replacing road crossing and driveway culverts, as well as a full road reconstruction including grade changes and new asphalt paving. It will also feature partially paving the shoulders and reconstructing guiderails in several locations.
The work being done on Carrick bridge will involve periods of full closure.
Affected residents will be notified in advance and the contractor will arrange for garbage and recycling pickup during construction.
The county will be holding an information session on April 26 at the Mildmay-Carrick Recreation Complex from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The construction work will be completed by E.C. King Contracting.
