The Township of Huron-Kinloss is launching its 2023 Community Well-Being program in support of community organizations holding programs for residents.
The township says in a release, it partnered with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization to establish the program in 2018, and saw $100,000 in funding be spread out amongst local organizations. Since its creation, almost $300,000 has been disbursed.
The funds are intended to be supplementary to main sources of funding, as the program is intended to provide a modest level of assistance to community groups.
Guidelines for the 2023 program will be send to local organizations to apply for funding, with applications open until April 21.
The township says it will work with applicants to make sure their application is complete and ready for committee review.
More information on the program can be found on the township website here.
