Port Elgin Chrysler Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts/Ontario Men’s Tankard
Presented by Bruce Power
at The Plex in Port Elgin
from Dave Middleton
With just two draws remaining teams that will qualify for weekend play are still up for grabs at the Port Elgin Chrysler 23 Ontario Tankard and Scotties presented by Bruce Power.
Scotties Pool A
Team Inglis leads the way with an undefeated record of 4-0 with one game remaining at 930am on Friday against Rachel Homan. Should Homan win the game then Inglis and Homan would finish with equal records of 4-1.
Team Harrison will also finish with a record of 4-1 after the withdrawal of team Warriner on Thursday due to health precautions for a potential three way tie for two qualifying positions.
Scotties Pool B
Team Duncan leads the pool with a record of 4-1.
Team Howard in second at 3-1. Howard will play third place Wasylkiw at 930am. If Howard wins that game she will tie for first place in the pool with a 4-1 record. If Wasylkiw wins she would be in a tie for second with Team Howard with a record of 3-2.
Tankard Pool A
Team McEwen leads with a record of 4-0. Final game is Friday at 230pm against Mooibroek. If McEwen wins he solidifies first in the pool. If Mooibroek wins he will move into a first place tie with McEwen.
Team Epping are tied for second with a record of 3-1. His final game is 230pm Friday against Camm. If Epping wins he would move to 4-1 and potentially into a 3 way tie for first in the pool.
