The Municipality of Kincardine officially has a new council after the Inaugural Meeting on Wednesday evening.
Each member of the Council had an opportunity to address the crowd following their declaration of office and other meeting formalities. Deputy Mayor Andrea Clarke began followed by each councillor, and concluded with Mayor Kenneth Craig.
The municipality welcomes five new councillors: Beth Blackwell, Rory Cavanagh, Mike Hinchberger, Jennifer Prenger, and Amanda Steinhoff-Gray.
Doug Kennedy and Bill Stewart are the only councillors returning from the previous term.
Mayor Craig also said in his address that it was “an exciting beginning to our Council term.”
The new council has its first official meeting on Monday, November 21st.
