The Hanover Lions Club has used a $10,000 provincial grant to assist with its various costs.
The Office of MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound Rick Byers says he met with the club on Nov. 9 to hear about how they used the Community Building Fund grant from the Ontario Government and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Byers’ office says the funds were used to address some storage and rental costs, and purchase new technical equipment as well as promotional materials to assist with marketing and fundraising activities.
The grant received by the club from the Ontario Trillium Foundation was one of many issued out over the last year to assist non-profit organizations recover from the impacts of Covid.
“Congratulations to the Hanover Lions Club on their success in receiving this grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Community Building Fund. The club does so much important work in the community, it is great to know these funds will be well used to support their ongoing service delivery,” says Byers.
