West Grey Police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old man after seizing a “large quantity” of firearms in a search warrant.
In a social media video, West Grey Police Const. Rod Hilton says officers in partnership with the Canadian Border Security Agency, OPP Major Crime Unit and provincial weapons enforcement unit executed a warrant at a property in West Grey on Monday.
Police have not disclosed specific details about where the property they searched is located in the municipality.
Hilton says officers seized a “large quantity” of firearms, firearms components, prohibited devices, ammunition and $3,500 in cash.
A 24-year-old West Grey man was arrested and charged with 25 criminal offences, including 15 counts of possession of a restricted prohibited weapon.
Police have not identified the accused.
Hilton says the accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
