There’s a public meeting in Orillia tomorrow afternoon, as the city considers a plan to turn the Regent Park United Church into affordable and accessible housing, a daycare centre, and community gardens.
The church on Oxford Street has not been in active use for four years after its congregation merged with another.
Now, a church-affiliated company wants to build 48 housing units on the property.
A zoning change is required for the project to move ahead.
The public meeting will be online starting at 2 p.m.
