The Township of Georgian Bluffs is flying the Every Child Matters flag for the month of September.
It’s in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th.
The flag is flying at the Shallow Lake Arena and at the Kemble Women’s Institute lookout on Grey Road 1.
Last year, Georgian Bluffs Council passed a motion to recognize September 30th, also known as National Orange Shirt Day by sharing the stories of residential school survivors and their families.
The township is encouraging staff and residents to take part in educational and reconciliation events.
