The 1972 Chesley Juvenile Baseball Team recently gathered to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their Ontario Baseball Association Championship.
The playoff drive included series wins over Port Elgin, Seaforth, Merlin and Binbrook.
The OBA title was clinched at Bernie Arbor Stadium in Hamilton which was a BIG deal for the small town team
All of the playoff series were best of 3, yet a deciding game wasn’t needed during the entire playoff run.
The team members still predominantly live in the Chesley area and only coach, Jack Woods and one player are deceased.
