
Bruce County’s council and Executive Committee are updating the responsibilities of the chief administrative officer.
The CAO is the highest-ranking appointed official in a municipal government.
In early June, it was found that the outline of duties and responsibilities for the position weren’t clearly defined.
The CAO is generally tasked with providing advice and support to Council through the development and implementation of policy, strategy, and objectives.
They also direct the human, financial and physical resources.
At Thursday’s Bruce County Council meeting, a new by-law was passed to update the job responsibilities.
