Another closure is coming to the Emergency Department at the Clinton Public Hospital.
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says the Clinton ED will be closed Thursday, August 11th.
The ED will resume reduced hours on Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m..
According to the HPHA, “increased demands on the healthcare system, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, are leading to staffing vacancies.”
“These pressures will continue throughout the summer.”
The closest 24-hour Emergency Departments to the Clinton Public Hospital are:
- Seaforth – HPHA – Seaforth Community Hospital
- Goderich – Alexandra Marine & General Hospital
- Exeter – South Huron Hospital
- Wingham – LWHA– Wingham & District Hospital
Staffing shortages also prompted the closure of the Clinton Public Hospital’s Emergency Department on Saturday.
