There are plenty of events set to go in Grey Bruce in celebration of Canada Day.
The new Sound Waterfront festival is underway in Owen Sound and continues until Sunday.
There are fireworks in Owen Sound at 10 p.m. on July 1st.
There are fireworks at Cobble Beach at 9 p.m. on July 1st. The band Grey Road 1 plays from 6 to 9 p.m.
In Meaford, there are Canada Day Celebrations in Bognor and at the Meaford Harbour.
In Saugeen Shores there are events at the beaches in Port Elgin and Southampton during the day, and in Southampton there will be music and festivities at the big flag on High Street.
In Wiarton, there is a full day of events including fireworks at dusk at Bluewater Park. There is a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11, followed by a barbecue from 11 to 7 with cake and ice cream at 6:30. Vendors will be on site as well as youth entertainers, a pipe band and then a parade at 5:45. There are lots of family activities.
In Sauble Beach, there will be live music in the town square starting at about 2 in the afternoon, with the last band starting at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, July 2nd, a fireworks show is scheduled to take place at about 9:30/10 p.m. in Sauble Beach
In Northern Bruce Peninsula there are a number of events including fireworks at dusk in Tobermory.
Kincardine has a day full of Canada Day events with fireworks at dusk from the pier at station beach. The Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highlands Games also runs from July 1-3.
Walkerton has fireworks scheduled for about 10 p.m. at the Walkerton Community Centre.
In Grey Highlands, fireworks are scheduled for July 2nd at dusk in Feversham.
Durham is celebrating its 150th birthday with a homecoming celebration and a weekend full of events including, family roller skating, classic car show, teddy bear picnic, Canada Day fireworks (10p.m. ball diamonds), Country 93 video dance, school reunions, food trucks, a beer garden, a BBQ, Sunday breakfast and a Caesar/Sangria Sunday on the Saugeen.
